First day done! Help to make a difference to the discrimination of Aboriginal people.

So today we went to Orange and then to Wellington where we conducted surveys with aborigines and people who weren't, as you'll see in the picture below. we surveyed to try and get answers and suggestions and while we were there, we went around and observed at the different living conditions of the aborginals compared to the non-aborginals. I am just hoping we Educated people, because all of the "white" peoples house are fabulous to be quite honest. They had decorative furniture and electricity, what more could you ask for? Then there's the Aborigines homes which was basically if lucky an old rusty shed. Many live in a on the outskirts of town in shacks and tin sheds, they had no running water or electricity available. All the students were shocked with the living conditions which the aborigines faced.) They are refused service in shops and refused drinks in hotels. tomorrow we are heading to Gulargambone and then to Walgett where will  conducted even more surveys! Some of you may not be aware but aborigines are barred from clubs and other organisations, such as pools and the Rsl, Which we are hoping to tackle at Walgett Rsl.
To our knowledge Walgett is one of the worst towns in New South Wales for reputation of racism towards aboriginal people. The other really appalling towns are Moree and Kemspey. I will update you once i arrive to Walgett with hopefully good news, I look forward to updating.
